I strive to explore each project to achieve the most from both a spatially pleasing design and a highly functional program. To get this done I try to always create a well formed line of communication between clients and myself, as well as contractors and consultants to create a smooth process that will leave the client 100% satisfied.
I also believe that a solid program that is thought out for optimum use will, as well, create an aesthetically pleasing form. I’m not necessarily saying form follows functions, but more like form and function are derived of each other. And I think this is apparent through out history by the evolution of our most common types of buildings.
We have to ask our selves, why does a church (for instance) look like a church? Then, where did those certain elements come from in history and where are they going? From there we can continue to interpret those answers into our own designs. This is the true challenge for the architect or designer.
